The Service Department is led by Louis J. "LJ" Fillmon. LJ joined the dealership in 2002, bringing with him a style of leadership unlike most service departments. As a retired U.S. Naval Officer with a strong leadership background, LJ coaches the 50+ professionals assigned to St. Paul Harley-Davidson's Service Department, the largest Harley-Davidson service department in the nation. His experience enables the department to focus on such important issues as customer service and satisfaction, competitiveness, and quality assurance. Striving for Excellence Through Service to Others is his motto and the guiding principle for the Service Department. He is also an experienced aerospace and computer systems engineer who knows the technical, as well as the business side of the motorcycle industry. Over the last six years he has assembled the best team available for your service needs, with a staff of outstanding and superbly trained technicians. If you have comments on our service quality or processes, he wants to know. LJ holds a Master's Degree in Business from Central Michigan University, and Bachelor degrees from Roosevelt University, Chicago, and the University of New Mexico. | | LJ is assisted by a superb supervisory team. "Empowered" is the right word to use. This philosophy allows team members to spread their wings in pursuit of our goal--Striving for Excellence. We always try to find a way to say “yes!”, and each team member is empowered to assist you so that you feel a "specialness" after your visit. Team members don't need LJ's permission to make decisions that benefit YOU! |
| Dedication is the only word for our Service Advisor team. Some people say that a Service Advisor position is the toughest in the dealership. Knowing the parts is just the beginning. Knowing "project management" and understanding customer concerns helps this fine team to be successful. Our team members include (left to right), Danny Mitchell, Eric Emerson, Drew Woodford, and Jeff Lemon. Standing on the end right is one of our Rider's Edge® Instructors, Curt Sandell. While the Service Advisors know how to care, our dispatcher Dan Haggard, (not pictured) knows how to get things done....probably the key position for success in the Service Department. He touches every workorder and knows what it takes to get the job on your bike done. | |
| St. Paul Harley-Davidson's Rentals and Rider's Edge® Department is staffed by Tim Larson (left) and Ted LaFleche. Tim grew up west of the metro area in Buffalo. He spend four-plus years in the Army stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. He proudly served his country as an Airborne Artillery Specialist and is a Veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He has been with the dealership since March 2005. Along with supervising the Rental and Rider's Edge® department he is an integral part of the day-to-day operations of the Service Department. Teddy grew up in St. Paul, graduated from Highland Senior High. He started at St. Paul Harley-Davidson in April 2004, he assisted Tim Bonniwell in the daily activities that go on 'Behind the Scenes' of the Service Department. Spring of 2006 he was brought forward to help man the Service Office and the Rentals and Rider's Edge® Department.

| Our Senior and Supervising Service Assistant is Tim Bonniwell. Tim joined the team in 2003 and has been riding and building motorcycles for 35 years. He knows them all. Tim leads a 10-man team, overseeing all the activities hidden from the public. He keeps the Service Department rolling. He is an avid fan of Harley drag racing. Harley-Davidson is a family tradition with Tim, who was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is a graduate of North St. Paul High School. And, yes, he takes his work seriously, as you can see. | |
| Leslie Brom is our Warranty Administrator. She manages all warranty claims for all departments, which is a complicated process. She leads a three-man team. Leslie joined the company in early 2001, leaving a computer software analyst position in the health care industry. This experience brings the kind of analytical mind and process orientation necessary to ensure our compliance with Harley-Davidson’s high warranty documentation standards. This ensures the best benefit for our customers. Leslie is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota and a graduate of Harding High School. | |
| Chris Vroom leads the largest Harley-Davidson Accident Division in the country. With extensive experience in the insurance adjusting field, Chris joined St. Paul Harley-Davidson during the mid-summer of 2006. A native of New Jersey, Chris grew up in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. After high school, he immediately joined the family's insurance appraisal business. After ten years in the business, Chris recently relocated to the Twin Cities area and now makes his work home at St. Paul Harley-Davidson. He brings with him extensive experience in the accident appraisal business. Since Chris knows how insurance appraisers think (because he used to be one), we believe Chris ably represents our customers during the unhappy times that accidents can bring. His team members include our highly skilled technicians Dorian Dial and Bob Hurias. They can take apart and reassemble ANY Harley Bike in need of care. | |
| Dan Sagisser is the Department’s Technical Advisor. With over 30 years of Harley-Davidson experience, Dan has seen and done it all. He joined the dealership in 1975 when it was known as Belmont Harley-Davidson. He guided the Service Department through its earliest days as the Service Manager, Parts Manager, and the Warranty Manager. Over the years, Dan has been able to develop and maintain close business relationships with Harley-Davidson’s technical advisors. Coupled with proven performance and a keen awareness of “how the bike really operates,” Dan ensures the department’s technical prowess stays sharp. Dan is a native of St. Paul, Minnesota and went to Harding High School.
The department’s technicians are led by six Master Technicians: In addition to Dan Sagisser, there is Glen Olson, Jack Kirsch, Robert Bell, Dorian Dial, and Monty Chalk. Rounding out the service department is Tim Johnson, Ryan Winget, Bob Huiras, Brian Roth, Gerry Horgan, Mike Campbell, Chuck Langland, Mike Christianson, Mike Schirmacher, Brad Morey, and Jon Williams.
| The Service Parts team is totally dedicated to the Service Department's technicians. These experts find the part (or order it) the technician needs to repair your bike. That was easy to type, but believe me, this division has the most difficult job in the department. They serve our Technicians and Service Advisors, and the folks they serve always want it NOW! They work under tremendous pressure and are experts in their field. Meet Melana Landis and Brandon Lieske. | 190.jpg) |
The Service Office is staffed by Ted LaFleche. Along with assiting Tim Larson with the daily aspects of the Rentals and Rider's Edge® Department Teddy also over sees the multi-facetted environment of the Service Office, where he handles the daily billing and accounting practices required to successfully run the department, answer questions from customers and assist the service advisors when needed.
